Cruisin’ for a cause to beat MS in West Kelowna

A&W Restaurants invited all Canadians to go Cruisin' for a Cause Thursday, Aug. 27, to raise money to end multiple sclerosis.

A&W is the largest summer host for classic car events in Canada. On Aug. 27 they will be holding a special classic car show 'n shine event at hundreds of participating restaurants across the country. On that day, $1 from every Teen Burger sold will be going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada to raise awareness and money for MS research.

MS attacks the central nervous system, causing a wide range of symptoms that can include double or blurred vision, extreme fatigue, speech problems, bladder and bowel problems, short-term memory loss and even partial and complete paralysis. Affecting 55,000 to 75,000 Canadians, approximately 1,000 new cases are diagnosed in Canada each year.

So, on Aug. 27, 60 plus cars came to A&W West Kelowna and raised over $900.00 dollars for the cause. Many cars came out to support the event and all had a great time!!!
